Our Vision

Katwa College Alumni Association is the social platform that stands out as a lighthouse of unity, empowerment and positive influence. As a dynamic and interconnected community, we aspire to be the driving force behind the transformative changes contributing to the betterment of the individual and the world at large.

Mission Statement

The purpose of our Alumni Association is to create strong bondage through communication among members of the Association and Present students. Our mission is to provide a forum for the members of the Association to share their experiences and views to assist students, scholars and teachers of the college and the members of the Association in their academic pursuits and professional careers.

Financial Contribution of Alumni Association

A) Rainwater Harvesting Project:- A rainwater harvesting project was partially funded at a cost of Rs. 4,56,000/- (Rupees four lakh fifty six thousand) only out of a total cost of Rs. 8,97,369/- (Rupees eight lakh ninety seven thousand three hundred sixty nine) only. This project involves the collection and storage of rainwater, mitigating water scarcity and promoting sustainable water management.

Academic and other support service of Alumni Association/ participation

Career Counselling:-  Alumni Association organised a career counselling programme with associate katwa college career counselling cell on 14.3.2022, 08.8.2023, 05.1.2024, 16.01.2024 and 17.05.2024 for the current students by our alumnus or some respected teachers on Guidance to Competitive Examinations. Some alumni who are engaged in different executive posts under the Central Government as well as Government of West Bengal also guide the students through online/offline mode. The Alumni Association also share the views of some notable alumni for the promotion of entrepreneurship, start up activities and others.

Blood Donation Camp:- Some of the alumni actively participated to donate blood at the blood donation camp organised by the NSS unit at Katwa College on 24.6.2021.

Tree Plantation:-  Tree plantation programme organised by the Association in the college premises on 29.7.2022 to encourage greenery and pollution free environment.

Annual Sports Meet:- Alumni Association provides eminent sportsmen and referees to judge the events organised by Katwa College sports committee on every sports meet for the smooth functioning of the event. The last sports meet was held on 22-02-2024. Some of our ex-students also took part in the 100mt run race and won prizes for themselves.

75^th years Celebration of College:- Alumni Association played an important role on the auspicious occasion of 75^th years celebration of Katwa College. Huge numbers of Alumni members were gathered at the main gate of the College to participate in the rally procession through Katwa town. Sri Ajay Mondal an alumni and international medal winner lit the torch and carried it all over the town from Adarsha Pally High School playground to Katwa College gate on 14-08-2023. Notable alumni participated during the closing ceremony at the programme for the alumni, “Alap Charitay Praktani’’ on 16.8.2023.

Environment Day Celebration:-  The Alumni Association celebrated the World Environment Day on 5th June, 2024 jointly with the IQAC Katwa College.

Donation of Grocery , Face mask, Sanitizer during COVID-19 Pandemic

During COVID-19 pandemic the Association helps to distribute face mask, sanitizer, grocery food into nearer villagers of Katwa College.

Alumni Reunion:-  Alumni helps connect former classmates and Professors which leads to wealth of opportunities and experiences . It also a way to catch up with old friends. Katwa College Alumni Association organised “Alumni Reunion” on 30.07.2023 at college auditorium. The reunion programme was succeeded with it’s great importance.
